Elena Bentley (MA English, University of Toronto - SSHRC funded) is a multi-genre writer, editor, and proud Métis aunty. She recently made the 2024 CBC Poetry Prize Longlist for her poem, "Citrus Dreams." Her poetry chapbook, taliped, was a finalist in the 2022 Vallum Chapbook Award and was recently published by 845 Press. Her poems can be found in various literary journals like Arc Poetry, Room, The Malahat Review, PRISM international, Grain, and Poetry Pause, among others. In 2023, she was shortlisted for CANSCAIP's Writing for Children Competition (Young Adult category). She is also the author of the children's picture book The Pickle in Grandma's Fridge (YNWP, 2022). She is a member of the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild (SWG) and the Saskatchewan Ânskohk Writers' Circle Inc (SAWCI). Elena is the editor for Grain magazine.
